French country messed me up

It’s been over a month since the trip to France and I hope to never recover! Look at all this! The best part is the whole thing was fueled by fresh baguettes and chocolate croissants! I’m pretty sure it really happened cuz I’ve been making fresh bread and gardening like a maniac ever since! I finally get what our B&B host meant when she said the French don’t use lots of superlatives to describe life, they just live it! I totally get it!! Be careful when you travel, it just might change your life!!

Oh my word. I think just looking at these photos messed ME up! Why don’t we have towns like that in the US?? Can’t we construct just ONE charming, idyllic, quasi-European village? Other than Harry Potter World?
haha…OH my word!! I grew up with that…only time I hear that now is when my’ mom’s in town. Thanks for the smile! AND glad you like the pix….it was a fantasy trip!!!! kimi.
gorgeous photos, kimi! i totally wanted to rescue that orange dutch oven! :) traveling totally changes you- it expands your heart, for sure! we got engaged on a bridge over the arno river in italy- and it definitely has been a shaping factor in our marriage…in the best possible way! thanks for sharing your trip. :)
you got it! kimi
Bonjour! Nice Kimi.. love the bike shot!
Hahahah…your look!
Not only does traveling change your life, it leaves you craving more!! I have the travel bug every day of my life, except the 10 days after I return home from a trip. Lovely photos!
Kimi,
Thanks! I finally got around to creating the chore list from your previous blog post with back to school goings on! As I figured… my teenage slacker made a big deal of moving the magnets around in a low tech protest of work responsibilities! But, I knew that would happen! She’s so typically human. Change averse and all! So, she better get used to it! Life happens!
Thanks for the inspiration!
Renee
Haaa!!! LOVE this note!! GOOD LUCK!!! We will be back in full swing around here in a few weeks, too. I hope you did the ridiculous part and made the face magnets!!! GREAT to hear from you!!! Have fun! kimi.
I loved your photo heads… but with dishes and eggs piling up in 115 degree heat, i begged off on that much to my artistic teens chagrin, and simply hashed initials onto the stainless magnet heads… :( but it works! NOw if only the kids will!
Ha! YES…got it!
Nice pictures!
Thanks, Stock! kimi.
A lovely post with beautiful photography. I love the gate which opens out to the vineyard.
There was picturesque everywhere I looked!! THANKS!!! k.
Did JJ drive the Citroen 2CV? They have a crazy gear shift on the dash board!
Now THAT would be a fab rental car!!! We found this little guy in the woods next to a castle.
All your photos are making my heart ache to go back! :( Thanks for sharing.
Ha!!! You found that fast, I just posted!! Me too!!! next time I wasn’t to see the south of France! It really was a trip of a life time! So continuously inspiring!!! THANKS!!! kimi.
