The most perfect brownie known to man

Is there really a perfect brownie? Best brownie known to man? Does it exist? Do we care? YES!! This is one of the few times I’ll admit a box even exists AND as usual, my advice is gonna be to get outside of it! Brownies can be made from scratch. This is a truth! When Jay and I got married he loved me even more once I started baking treats for us to share. He had no idea all these goodies could be made at home. He would brag about me to his family. Impress man with baking skills….DONE!!!
Some like cakey, some like frosted…I have an ideal. I want super moist on the inside and crispy on the top. I’ve been a brownie dud for years. This has been a quest but look at these pix!!! I think I found it! I actually have 2 fave recipes but I think this one, from my pal Linda, is winning. If you have one you love, send it to me. Life (and recipes) is ever evolving. This post is proof I am capable of deep thought! I just save it for when it really counts! Happy baking!

Maggie’s Brownies
- 4 oz. Baker’s unsweetened chocolate
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup flour
Melt chocolate and butter in double boiler. In a big bowl, add all ingredients except flour, stir. Add flour, stir. Don’t over stir, just til it’s all mixed in good.
Bake at 350 in a 9×13 pan for 20-25 min.
Tip: I am a big fan of organic everything, especially sugar…BUT…I’ve recently switched back to the white stuff for baking certain things. It provides the right texture for some reason. I held on for as long as I could with cakey brownies and cookies. Making that change made all the difference, serious! Tried and true. :)
Remember…if you have a fave brownie recipe, send that little honey over! Let’s see what ya got!

That’s the idea!!! The lighting was so good for the those pix it would have made cabbage look awesome!!!
I was practically drooling just looking at these. I NEED to make them. Thanks for sharing! :)
These need to happen! And I’m totally with you on the sugar thing. Each has its place for sure! I’ve been replacing white sugar/flour with less processed stuff, but the white still has a spot in my pantry. :)
wowwwww! i am definitely gonna bake this this coming weekend. i am always in search for the perfect brownie, so far i have been baking 2 kinds – a brown butter kind and a soft and chewy with a crispy top kind. i will try this one out :)
