A little Chi Town and a lotta Hot Chip

I was able to sneak a trip to Chinatown in after the xgames this weekend. It’s the lanterns that suck me in, pretty sure. Well, that and the neon signs, and all the red and green. I guess everything. There’s a cement pillar that stands about waist high at the entrance of chungking plaza. Perfect camera perch for a self portrait. I rarely miss this photo op!

Hot Chip came out with a new one. Motion Sickness is soooo good! It’s got that 80s sentimental thing going on for me. I couldn’t find the official video, which is fine, cuz the dance moves in this one are nuts! Enjoy and love this summer up! Thanks so much for making California Pixie one of your stops! kimi.

I contemplated on seeing Xgames, but decided not to. It’s okay, I just watch it on TV :D.

  Oh ya! I just wish all the neon signs were fired up. Most are off at night for some reason. Parts of chinatown look deserted. Wonder if they ever have any night festivals, wouldn’t that be awesome?? k.
