Constant as the North Star

At night, do you ever look up? I started star gazing when we got our hot tub. I’d sit out there looking at the sky late at night and got curious about what I was seeing. As soon as I figure out what all the brightest stars are, they move and a whole new set appears. They rotate with the seasons around the north star. Maybe that’s why I like it…constant change! To find the north Star it’s just like on my little map. Draw that imaginary line. It’s super dim. Unimpressive at first glance. That’s what’s so cool about it. It’s powerful and constant but doesn’t draw a lot of attention to itself, just hangs up there and guides. Dependable. I know people like that, it’s a quality I adore. If you’re on the other side of the world, you don’t get the dippers but you get the Southern Cross, which I never get to see.
I just had to take pix of this sandwich. Have you ever had this pretzel bread? Something about the texture makes for some happy eating.
I’ll leave you with some Joni Mitchell. If you’re not familiar, she’s unlike anyone else. Songs so simple and so powerful. She sings that incredibly perfect song Help Me and remember a few years ago when Counting Crows sang the words paved paradise and put up a parking lot…ohhh la la la? That’s Joni’s song. This was my intro to the saying ‘constant as the north star’. Some great photos play during the song. She had style galore! Thanks a ton for stopping by! Have FUN this weekend! kimi
