Spray paint does it again, 5 gallon buckets get the makeover of their dreams!
I want to try growing Broccoli in big pots this year to save space in my veggie garden. A friend shows up with a stack of buckets, perfect! I head straight for spray paint and a 70′s inspired rainbow.
Don’t ever dismiss the wonder of spray paint! Spray painted 5 gallon buckets most likely aren’t on your wish list, but whatever your project is, you don’t have to settle for whatever color they’re selling at the store…make it your own. Do it!!
To make paint last as long as possible, use a spray on primer that’s made to bond with plastics or whatever you’re working with. After that, the paint goes right on. I painted about 2 inches down on the inside the rim just to give them a finished look. No need to paint the inside! That’s a waste of paint and probably not so super for your soil.
Drill holes in the bottom for drainage…Done!
